BioEiji comes from a long family line of nyanko. Granted, not everyone in his family had been born one. His oldest sister, for instance, isn't a nyanko. However, because of all of the children that were in his family (Eiji's the youngest of five), attention didn't come the redhead's way very easily. So he started acting out more, though not in a necessarily bad way. He was just overenthusiastic about most things, and rather loud about everything else.
When he was near ten, though, he really didn't want too much attention anymore. He noticed that he could start to feel what the rest of his family was feeling. For a while he became subdued, wishing to not come in contact with anyone around him, but soon enough he realized that he missed the contact from his family. Instead, he just chooses to ignore the feelings that can, occasionally, overpower him.
When he was near ten, though, he really didn't want too much attention anymore. He noticed that he could start to feel what the rest of his family was feeling.
